Antoinette C. “Toni” (nee Libersher) Petrovic, age 97, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Salem Village with her family by her side.
Toni is survived by her nephews; Carl A. (Judy) Lindstrom and Charles A. Lindstrom. Numerous great nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by her loving husband; Joseph E. Petrovic (1991); son, Joseph A. Petrovic (2012); parents, Anton and Clara (Kapsch) Libersher; and sisters, Marie (Carl) Lindstrom and Cele Libersher.
Toni was a lifelong resident of Joliet. She was a veteran of the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps having attained the rank of Corporal, WAC Vets Chapter #1 of Chicago, VFW Cantigny Post #367 Women’s Auxiliary, American Legion Post #1080, Joliet Rivals Auxiliary, Senior Citizen’s Association, Crest Hill Women’s Civic League, Senior Service Center, St. Joseph’s Senior Parishioners, Rosarian CCW, Altar and Rosary, St. Mary Nativity Joannites and KSKJ St. Genevieve Lodge #108.
Toni was a dedicated gambler who organized many bus tours to numerous casinos in Wisconsin and Indiana.
She enjoyed attending club activities, meetings, playing cards, doing crafts and crossword puzzles. She will be truly missed by many.
The family would like to thank the Joliet Area Community Hospice for their care and compassion toward Toni.

A celebration of life for Antoinette C. “Toni” Petrovic’s life will begin on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 with a visitation at Tezak’s Home to Celebrate Life, 1211 Plainfield Rd. from 9:00 a.m. until time of prayers at 10:20 a.m., then driving in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 416 North Chicago Street, Joliet, for a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
