Hester Marie Hrechko

Hester Marie Hrechko, age 89, of Joliet, at rest on Monday, December 17, 2012 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home. Survived by her loving children, Michael (Penny) Hrechko, Cindy (Dick) Gallick, Debbie (Gerald) Rademacher and Lori (Doug) Snode; grandmother, Matthew (Melaney) Hrechko, Stephanie (Jim) Figura, Jason Hrechko, Ben (Marissa Cervantes) Hrechko, Kelly Snode, Chad (Laura) Hrechko, Sean (Heather) Gallick, Nicole (Anthony) Sartori, Nina (Scott) Murphy and Angela (Joe) Finley; great-grandmother of 14; daughter-in-law Julia Hrechko; brother Captain James L. Cox; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by her husband Walter Hrechko; her son, Richard W. Hrechko; great-granddaughters, Hanna and Zoe Hrechko; four brothers and two sisters.

She was a member and former vice president of the St. Nicholas LadiesA�?? Aid and former secretary of the St. Nicholas Parish Board, she also retired from the St. of Illinois DriverA�??s License Facility. She was an avid baker and was well known for her potica.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 1000 Barber Lane, Joliet, IL 60435.

A celebration of HesterA�??s life will begin on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 9:30 am with prayers at the funeral home chapel then moving in procession to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church for a funeral service to begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Panachida service beginning at 7:30 p.m. at TezakA�??s Home to Celebrate Life.
