Josephine P. Stimac (nee Grohar), at rest Sunday, November 25, 2012.

Loving mother of Rudolph J. (Mary Ann) Stimac; Dearest grandmother of Rudolph R. Stimac and Nicole (Kris) Kritzer; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by her husband Rudolph C. Stimac (1974). Her parents John and Mary (nee Glad) Grohar; two sisters Mary (Joseph) Bucaric (Anton Schmitz), and Evelyn (William J.) Greenan; five brothers Joseph (Mary), George (Emma), Anton (Edna), Steve (Patricia), and John (Louise) Grohar.

Josephine graduated from Fairmont Grade School and attended Lockport High School. She was a member of St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church; the Joanites Club, where she served as Social Chairwoman; St. Mary Nativity C.C.W. where she served as First Vice-President, Treasurer, Social Chairwoman and performed daily recitation of the rosary. Josephine was also a member of the Legion of Mary where she served as First Vice-President. She participated in the St. Mary Nativity Nursing Home Visitation Program. Josephine volunteered her services at the ShepardA�??s Table for St. Mary Nativity and also at the Church of St. Anthony for monthly spaghetti dinners. She also served on the Council at Lewis University and was a Will County election judge. Josephine was chosen as the St. Mary Nativity 1970 Woman of the Year. She was also associated with Grohar Grocery on RileyA�??s Hill and retired from Chas A. Stevens.

In lieu of flowers donations in JosephineA�??s name to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church or Presence Villa Franciscan Nursing Home would be appreciated.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to all of her wonderful friends at Presence Villa Franciscan Nursing Home as well as Jennifer R., Gina, Michelle, Debra, Mary Beth, Lowell, Chona, Elanie, Erica, Alex, Martha, Mary A., A�??Chicago,A�?i�� Sara, Mary P., Jennifer F., John, Wesley, Paul, Diane, and all of the other staff.

A Memorial Mass in JosephineA�??s honor will be held on Thursday November 29, 2012 at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church in Joliet at 10:00 a.m. The family will begin receiving relatives and friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Church. According to JosephineA�??s wishes cremation rites were accorded. Private inurnment will be held.
