Shelba K. Latham-Rico

Shelba Latham-Rico, age 58, entered eternal life on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

Shelba is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, Juan H. Rico; children, Michael D. Latham, Johnny Ray Latham; grandchildren, Alexa Latham, David, Sabrina, Alexus, Mariah, Juan, Sydney Rico; siblings, Patsy (Jim) Grant, Danny (Debby) Latham, Jerry (Sylvia) Latham, Pam (Armando) Cazares, Teresa (Allan) Lubbers, and Johnny Latham; three step-sons, Juan (Tanya) Rico, David (Irene Carrillo) Rico, and Andy (Marisela) Rico. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Preceded in death by her parents, James and Bonnie (nee Garner) Latham.

Shelba was born in Lexington, TN and was raised in Crest Hill, IL. She lived in Mexico for seven years with her beloved family. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was an angel to everyone she had met. She will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers donations to the family would be appreciated.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to all of the relatives and friends who organized and attended Shelba's benefit and provided wonderful care and support to her and her family.

A celebration of Shelba's life will begin on Saturday, April 5, 2014 with a memorial visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 3-8 p.m. A service will be held during the visitation at 7:00 p.m. Per Shelba's wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
