• Cell Phones for Soldiers

  We invite you to drop off your used cell phones at Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life 1211 Plainfield Road Joliet, IL. The cell phones that you donate will be used to purchase calling cards to send to our troops for their opportunity to call home. There is a receptacle in the front entrance provied for you.

  This is a group for Widows and Widowers who have been bereaved for 6 months or more and are looking forward to being able to socialize and network with people again. • Journey Through Grief / Spring Family Journey

  Thursday, March 08, 2012 : 7:00 PM to Thursday, March 29, 2012 : 9:00 PM

  Four session workshops for ages 5 - adult. Each adult session icludes a presentation by a hospice staff member on a grief related topic, followed by group support. Teenagers and children will meet seperately with counselors and other peers at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Offices at 250 Water Stone Circle Joliet, IL 60431 815-740-4104.

• Pre-Need Informational Seminar

  Tuesday, March 13, 2012 : 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

  This is an opportunity to attend a seminar that will answer all of the questions you may have regarding prearranging a funeral and estate planning. There will be a panel of Certified Preplanning Consultants as well as Elder Law and Estate Law Professionals. This event will be held at Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life 1211 Plainfield Road Joliet, IL 60435 from 6:30PM-8:30PM.

• Celebration of Life Seminar

  Saturday, March 31, 2012 : 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM

  The Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life Staff will present a "Celebration of Life" ceremony which is an alternative way to hold a non traditional religious or non-religious ceremony that will honor the life of your loved one either during the visitation hours or the following day in conjunction with the interment service. All of our staff members are Certified Celebrants. This event will take place at our facility at 1211 Plainfield Road Joliet, IL from 1:00PM-3:00PM.

April Events

• Green & Home Funerals

  Monday, April 23, 2012

  This event will provide information that explains what a "Green Burial" is, as well as what options you have with regard to planning a funeral in your home. Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life is the First Certified Funeral Home by the "Green Burial Council" in the State of Illinois.
  We have Certified Home Funeral Guides on staff.
  The event will take place at Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life at 1211 Plainfield Road Joliet, IL on Monday, April 23rd from 6:30PM-8:30PM.

May Events

• Spring Into New Life / Celebrate Life

  Saturday, May 12, 2012 : 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM

  This event will celebrate the lives of those families whom we have served in the past year.
  We gather at the Funeral Home at 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL to join in the tradition of the May Pole dance, and take part in planting Spring flowers in honor of your loved ones.
  We also celebrate and remember all of our mothers who are living or deceased.

June Events

• Flag Day / Celebrate Dad

  Saturday, June 16, 2012 : 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM

  We gather at Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life at 1211 Plainfield Road Joliet, IL from 1:00-3:00PM to take part in a specal Flag Day Ceremony as well as honor our dads who are living or deceased.
  On this day, we invite you to bring your old / used flags. We will properly disposed of them.

• Journey Through Grief / Children's Day Camp

  Monday, June 25, 2012 : 9:00 AM to Friday, June 29, 2012 : 12:00 AM

  Joliet Area Community Hospice in partnership with the Jerald S. Galowich Family YMCA is happy to invite your child(ren) to our Journey Children's Camp. This day camp is for children ages 7 to 13 who have experienced the loss of a loved one. June 25th to June 29th. 9AM to 3:30PM.

  The Tezak family and staff welcomes you to take a bus ride with us as we visit a Casino for fun and relaxation.
  We will depart from the Funeral home parking lot at 1211 Plainfield Road.

August Events

• Joliet Slammers Baseball Game with the Tezak Family & Staff

  Friday, August 10, 2012 : 6:00 PM

  We invite you to join us as we gather to enjoy a baseball game 7:05 PM and a spectacular fireworks presentation at the Silver Cross Stadium in downtown Joliet.
  A bus will depart at 6:00PM from our parking lot at 1211 Plainfield Road RSVP required.

• Movie Night

  On Saturday, September 8, we invite you to come to Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life at 1211 Plainfield Road Joliet, IL to enjoy an Old Fashioned drive up movie night. You can bring your lawn chairs or sit in your car as we watch the movie on the outdoor screen. Popcorn, cotton candy, water and soda will be provided.Come early to get a good spot!

  We invite you to come to Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life at 1211 Plainfield Road Joliet, IL as we take part in a special ceremony that will honor all of our loved ones who have gone before us.

November Events

• Veteran's Day Ceremony

  Saturday, November 10, 2012 : 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM

  We gather here at 1211 Plainfield Road Joliet, IL to take part in a ceremony that will honor the lives of our living and deceased Veterans. Special Presidential Awards will be presented to the families of Veterans whom we were priveledged to serve this past year. We will also acknowledge all the Veterans who are in attendance and present them with a token of our appreciation, as well. An Honor Guard will serve to present colors, provide a 21 gun salute and play taps. Make plans to attend this very powerful and memorable ceremony. An elected Official will be in attendance to deliver a special "Thank You" to our dedicated service women and men.

• Annual Candelighting Ceremony

  We gather at Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life at 1211 Plainfield Road Joliet, IL to honor the lives of all the families whom we have served this past year. This ceremony will include special prayers, music, a video presentation, and candle lighting as we commemorate the lives of our departed loved ones. Refreshments will be provided following this service.
