Audrey Lee Goldasich (nee Wood), age 89, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, in the early morning hours of June 22, 2018. Audrey was born September 15, 1928 in Glomar, KY to the late Ernest and Leona Wood. The family would later move to East Chicago, IN. Shortly thereafter, she met and wed the love of her life, Rudy A. She enjoyed a wide variety of music, being a self-appointed side line coach for the Chicago Bears, baking the world’s greatest chocolate chip cookies, traveling, doting over her grandchildren, and always made sure bread and butter were on the table.
Survived by her adoring sister, Ruth (late James) Dimitroff; cherished children, Thomas Goldasich, Linda (Patrick) McEvilly, Nancy (late James Sr.) Matesevac, Gail (Jo Ann Amick) Goldasich and Michael Gold; doting grandchildren, Candace (Brian) Thomas, Justin Ashley, Emily (Miklos) Simon, Liz Ashley, Mary Ashley, James Jr. (Katanya) Matesevac, Karen (Paul) Scherer, Jennifer Amick, Neil McEvilly, Darren McEvilly, Nick Matesevac, Matthew Matesevac, Merritt Maya, Logan Gold, and Lauren Gold; precious great-grandchildren, Freya and Iris, Graham, Bennett and Zayd.
