Steve Orlovich, age 91, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017 with his family by his side.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Lois G. (nee Fox) Orlovich; sister-in-law, Lois Ann Orlovich; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Pantelya and Catherine (nee Divijak) Orlovich; sisters, Ann and Rose Orlovich; brothers, Michael (late Mary), Eli (late Anka), Samuel (late Louise), Fred (late Kathryn), Joseph (late Millie), George and Raymond (Lois Ann) Orlovich.
Steve attended Rockdale Grade School and Joliet Township High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in WWII in Central Europe.
He retired from US Steel in the Metallurgy Laboratory. He was a member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, Cantigny Post #367 and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #300. Steve loved singing and being an active member of the Blackhawk Chorus for many years. He also enjoyed the outdoors and loved working in his yard.
The family would like to thank the Rosewood Nursing Care Staff for their excellent care of Steve.

Funeral services for Steve Orlovich will begin with a Visitation on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Tezak Funeral Home (1211 Plainfield Road – Joliet, IL) from 9:00 a.m. until the pomen service at 11:00 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church (3457 Black Road – Joliet) for a funeral service to be held at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
