Alfredo G. Zamudio, Jr., age 58, at rest on Thursday, August 27, 2015.
Alfredo is survived by his loving son, Victor Zamudio; cherished grandchildren, Kaleb and Kiera Zamudio; loving father, Alfredo G. Zamudio, Sr.; loving mother, Marcella Zamudio; dear siblings,Jose (Leticia) Zamudio, Mary (Jose) Godina, Elizabeth Haro, Anita (Rene, Jr.) Acosta, Ricardo (Laurie) Zamudio; mother of his child, Roma Ann Zamudio; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Alfredo worked at Olin Chemical for many years and was a professor at Joliet Junior College and South Suburban College. He was a passionate Bears fan and an avid golfer. His primary joy in life was being a father and grandfather.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Silver Cross Hospital.
A Celebration of Alfredo's life will begin on Monday, August 31, 2015 with a visitation from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet. A chapel service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Father Tim Andres officiating. Per Alfredo's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.
