Andrew Jacobs
March 14, 1913 — January 18, 2013
Andrew Jacobs, age 99, of Crest Hill, at rest on Thursday, January 18, 2013.
He is survived by his step daughter, Arlene (Bud) Fair, numerous step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and longtime dear friend Eva Johnston.
Andy was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Harriet (nee Kolokowski) (1992); his parents George and Susan (nee Havira) Jacobs; and his brothers and sisters.
He graduated from Joliet Township High School with the Class of 1931, and retired from Texaco Refinery after 37 years of service. Andy was a charter member and past president of the Will County Pigeon Club. He served with the United States Army during WW II as a corporal from 1942-1945 with The 28th Combat Pigeon Company.
Inurnment will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park at a later date.
