Anthony Jelenich
Age 99. At rest Monday November 21, 2011 at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home in Joliet.
Survived by a brother Joseph A�??JayA�?i�� Jelenich of New Mexico, 3 nieces, Mary (James) Bulger, Nancy Hooks, and June Lewandowski. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary (nee Pluth) Jelenich; his parents Anton and Barbara (nee Ambrose) Jelenich; a brother, Edward Jelenich; 2 sisters, Marian Gonda and Victoria Lewandowski.
Anthony was born in Joliet, and was a lifelong area resident. He worked for Great-Lakes Carbon for 18 years and Caterpillar Tractor Co. Anthony was a U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran serving during World War II. He was a member of K.S.K.J. and Knights of St. George.
Funeral services for Anthony Jelenich will be Friday November 25, 2011 at 11:00 at the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors at St. Joseph Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
