Age 86 of Joliet, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at his home with family by his side.

Born June 9, 1936 in Joliet, Anthony Eugene was a son of Eugene, Sr. and Ethel (Nedelsky) Lorenzo. He was raised and educated in Joliet and was a graduate of Lewis University. Following his time at University, Tony enlisted and proudly served in the United States Army. While in the Army he made the U.S. Army baseball team and won two championships with that team, two years in a row. After his time in the service, Tony took a job working as a mail carries for USPS and did so until his retirement. In 1986 he married the love of his life, Mary Johnson and together they made a home and raised their family. In his free time, Tony enjoyed fishing, going to the movies, tending to his yard, a delicious meal and relaxing with a newspaper and a pipe. Tony will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years: Mary Lorenzo; daughter: Joanna Johnson; son: Kirk (Kelly) Johnson as well as numerous cousins.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents: Eugene, Sr. and Ethel; brother: Eugene Lorenzo, Jr. and numerous cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel at S.S. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Cemetery in Joliet. Interment will follow and Tony will be laid to rest with his parents.
