Antonio “Tony” Brandolino, age 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at home with his loving and dedicated family by his side after a courageous battle with Dementia and Prostate Cancer.
Survived by his loving children, Fiore (Cindy), Tony and Linda (Joe) Troha; cherished grandchildren, Jeff (Lara), Daniel (Alejandra), Stephanie, Tyler (Kacie); precious great-grandchildren, Taylor, Christian, Alyssa, Julius, Marco, Benjamin, Emma, Scott, Daniel Jr., Jackson, and Matteo; brothers, Vince (Betty) Brandolino, Sam (Carol) Brandolino, in-laws, Joseph (Teresa) Alberico; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Angiolina Brandolino (nee Alberico), parents, Fiore and Linda Brandolino; in-laws, Luigi and Antoniella Alberico; sisters, Maria (Francesco) Carusi of Toronto Canada and Liberata (John) DiVecchio; dearest grandson, Scott Brandolino; sister-in-law, Marianne Alberico; brother-in-law, Berardino Alberico; nephew, Gino Piccioli; and niece, Tina Petrovic.
Antonio was a member of the Church of St. Anthony and St. Mary Nativity, Joliet. Antonio was born in San Vittorino, Italy emigrated in 1954 and became a very proud American Citizen. He worked as an overhead crane operator for Continental Steel for over 42 years. He loved his garden and making homemade wine. He won many first-place trophies for his wine at the annual American Italian Cultural Society’s wine contest. He was a proud and very active member of the club since its inception. Always donating his time and talents throughout the years. A man of many talents, he was a landlord, painter, carpenter, barber and musician; above all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Antonio was recently diagnosed with Dementia & Prostate Cancer. He received loving care from Ralph Palma, his in-home caregiver, his nurse Amy Lord and the entire team from VITAS Healthcare. The family would like to extend our most sincere thanks and admiration for the loving care he received from Ralph and the entire team at VITAS.
A celebration of Antonio’s life will begin on Saturday, October 4, 2025 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet. Visitation will be on Friday, October 3, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Prayers will be offered at 7:00 p.m. by the American Italian Cultural Society.
