Augie passed away on September 9, 2025. A jack-of-all-trades, he will be remembered for his ability to make anything out of nothing. He loved fiercely and was willing to help anyone wherever he could. A graduate of Joliet Central High School class of 1973, he was drafted to the Chicago Cubs shortly after following his love of baseball. However, his first love will always be his wife, Teresa, with the Cubs as a close second (specifically in 2016). He loved everything baseball: playing, coaching his son, Augie, and daughter, Becky, watching his Cubs, and attending his grandchildren’s’ games.
He was an avid fisherman, always willing to throw in a line with family and friends, even if he may have broken an ankle. He always thought a day fishing was never a waste of time, especially with good company. His love of golf will be remembered every Thursday night, with a drink and hotdog in the clubhouse. But overall, he will be remembered for his loyalty, heart, and willingness to never give up.
Augie is survived by his wife of 44 years, Teresa “Terese” Juricic (Pleski); his son, Augie (Tiffany) Juricic; his daughter, Becky (Jason) DeGroate; his grandchildren, Augie, Noah, and Lily; his siblings: Ginny (Don) Krall, Jayne Juricic, Jimmy (Jane) Juricic and Terry (Marilyn) Juricic; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, August and Lorraine Juricic; his in-laws, Raymond and Elaine Pleski; his brothers, Eugene Juricic and Teddy Juricic; his sisters, Lisa Lachowski and Kathy Cecil; brothers-in-law, Ray Pleski and Dave Lachowski.
A celebration of Augie's life will be held with a memorial visitation on Saturday, September 13,2025 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL. Chapel services will be held following visitation at 5:00 pm.
