Barbara A. Hoyt

Barbara Anne Hoyt (nee O’Neill), age 72, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Robert Hoyt; her 5 children, Robert Hoyt, Michael (Michelle) Hoyt, Mary Beth (Andrew) Mueller, Elizabeth (Miguel) Vargas and Anne (fiancé Scott Young) Hoyt; and her 10 grandchildren, Emmaline, Mackenzie, Michael, Rocco, Ameilia, Marley, Isabell, Miguel Jr., Lucia and Penelope.

Barbara was a dedicated wife of 50 years, proud mother and grandmother. She was the owner of Salt of the Earth Store. Barbara lived a faith filled life with a dedication to the church and spreading the word of God. She proudly wrote, composed and sang over 50 Christian songs. Barbara will be truly missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of Barbara's life will begin on Saturday, December 3, 2022 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
