Barbara Ann Kenney

Barbara Ann Kenney, age 76, daughter of the late Raymond and Helen Kenney. Barbara is survived by brothers James (Cynthia M.), Robert, William (Cynthia A.), sister Laurie (Neal) Florence and brother-in-law Sydney Bick. She was proceeded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Judith and Robert Devereaux and sister Nancy Bick.

Barbara was a graduate of St. Bernard Catholic School, 1963 and Joliet Central High School, 1967. She began her work career at the Joliet Arsenal, then to the Department of Navel Research, moving to the General Services Administration, next employed by Illinois Bell and finally ending her career as an administrative assistant at Underwriters Laboratories in Northbrook, Illinois.

Barbara was an accomplished knitter, an avid reader and baker. Her cookies were always a special request especially during the holidays.

Dear to her heart was the love of her numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, as expressed through her personalized gifts through the years.

In lieu of flowers, if you would like to honor Barbara’s memory please make a contribution to a children’s charity of your choice.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Tezak's Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd. Joliet IL, burial will be held privately.
