Bobby “B.J.” Williams
Age 71 of Joliet, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at his home with his family by his side.
Born May 15, 1951 in Paragould, Arkansas, Bobby was a son of Claude and Glenda (Boone) Williams. He was raised and educated in Plainfield and graduated from Plainfield Central High School with the class of 1969. B.J. met the love of his life and best friend, Patricia “Patty” Kinsley, and in November of 1985 they were happily married. He was the proud owner of Williams Cleaning Service for over thirty years, but also worked as a truck and delivery driver for Old Style Brewing Company. B.J. was a member of the Plainfield Moose Lodge #2491 and an avid sports fan. In his youth he was active in baseball, football and basketball and later took up cycling. He loved to cheer on the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears and in his free time relax and watch his favorite western TV shows and movies. B.J.’s proudest moments were when he became a dad and later a grandpa. Family was everything to B.J. and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years: Patricia Williams; sons: Samuel Williams, Sr. and Quinn (Robin) Williams; grandchildren: Samuel Williams, Jr., Gabriel Williams, Isabella Williams and Evelyn Williams; sister-in-law: Sandra (Dave) Peterson and brother-in-law: Daniel (Jean) Kinsley, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
B.J. is preceded in death by his parents: Claude and Glenda; brothers: Danny Williams and Larry Williams, and mother and father-in-law: William and Dorothy Kinsley.
Per B.J.’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
The family will receive relatives and friends for a memorial visitation on Friday, October 14, 2022 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 1705 Burry Circle in Crest Hill from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow and B.J. will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet.
