Brett A. Page, age 63, of Shorewood, IL died unexpectedly on April 10, 2026 at St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet, IL. He was born the son of Raymond A. Page and Janet F. Page (née Rutherford) on January 25, 1963 in Joliet, IL.
Brett was raised and educated in Frankfort, IL, where he graduated from Lincoln Way High School. He continued pursuing his education at McComb College, where he earned his Associate’s Degree. Brett had one of those minds that seemed to be naturally inclined to understanding the mechanics of everything around us. He was truly a jack-of-all-trades. Brett helped with building the family home at the age of 7. He later used these same skills to build his first condo and first home. He excelled in his profession of Mechanical Design in the Energy Sector, and his mind and hands have left their indelible prints on many of the refineries and power plants that power the world today. Brett loved Black Diamond Skiing in Vail, Colorado, where he and his siblings carried the tradition on in recent years with their own families. Aside from his love of skiing, he was also just as entertained by his love for landscaping, and with that came his dedication to keeping the numerous squirrels away from his yard. Brett and his wife Andrea loved to travel together and always made sure to share their experiences with family and friends. Brett was a storyteller at heart, even if he did miss the punch line on occasion. He loved to step into the light and share a story that, maybe went a little long, maybe had been heard a time or two before, but always would be delivered in Brett’s trademark style. He loved to dip into his archive of “Rayisms”, his way of passing on the knowledge that his father, Raymond Page, had provided to him, and he was always the first one to volunteer to lend a helping hand toward finding the solution to any problem.
He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Janet Page and his son Nicholas Page.
Brett is survived by his spouse of 30 years Andrea Page (née Paoli); his siblings Robert (Valerie) Page, Karen (Mark) Salma, and William (Kimberly) Page; sister-in-law Jennifer (James) Schmauderer; nieces Kaylee (Jeremy) Ortiz and Jacqueline Page; nephews Kevin Capodice, Kyle (Julia) Capodice, Hunter (Claudia) Page, Nathaniel and Matthew Page, Michael, Matthew, and Jacob Schmauderer and several great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, please direct any donations offered in Brett’s name to either the American Heart Association at www.heart.org (http://www.heart.org/) or Gift of Hope at www.giftofhope.org (http://www.giftofhope.org/).
