Bruce Stephen Hockin

Bruce Stephen Hockin, 77, passed away on March 25, 2022.

Bruce spent 30 years working at International Harvester in Burr Ridge,IL. He started as a blacksmith apprentice and then worked in various areas at the plant. He spent his time in the tin, machine, and assembly shops and retired as a shop supervisor.  Bruce was an all-around handyman and loved to work with wood.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents James E. Hockin Sr and Virginia (Beery) Hockin. His wife Janice (Pullen) Hockin, step-daughter Martha Pullen, brother James E. Hockin Jr and his grandparents, aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Geraldine L. (Marinin) Hockin, daughter Virginia Hockin, brother David Hockin(Claudette), sister-in-law Susan Hockin, step-daughter Susan Schlanger, step-sons Theodore Pullen (Kim) and Joseph Zitello and many nieces and cousins.

Per Bruce’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
