Age 80. At rest Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at the Illinois Veteran's Home in Manteno, IL. Bruno was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He was employed by U.S. Steel. Bruno was famous for making numerous Rosaries and wood crafts. He was an avid bingo caller. Bruno was also a member of V.F.W. Cantigny Post #367. He attended Holy Cross School, and was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph G. and Sophie (nee Bogusz) Lorek. A brother, Stanley (Alice) Lorek. A godchild, Kathy Jaskowiak, and a sister in infancy. Survived by a brother, Matthew (late Fran) Lorek of Lemont. Two sisters, Wanda (William) Haake of Joliet, and Lorraine (Andy) Jaskowiak of Crest Hill. Numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends at the Illinois Veteran's Home also survive. Donations to Holy Cross Church or the Illinois Veteran's Home, in Manteno, would be appreciated. Cantigny Post #367. VISITATION and VIDEO TRIBUTE will be Thursday from 3-7 p.m.
