Carolina “Caro” R. Guzman (nee Ramos), age 79, at rest on Thursday, October 4, 2018.
Carolina is survived by her beloved children; Sylvia (Bruce) Campbell and Lee (Vanja) Guzman; grandchildren, Savina Salazar, Corey Campbell, Michael, Samantha and Sara Guzman; great-grandson, Jayden Salazar; sisters, Eliza (Roberto) Nino, DeAnna (John) Eddy; sister-in-law, Obdulia “Lula” Izaguirre and numerous nieces and nephews
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Manuel Guzman Sr. (2008); son, Manuel Guzman Jr.; parents, Jose Sr. and Rosaria (nee Hernandez) Ramos; brothers, Jose Ramos Jr., Ramon Ramos and Edward Ramos.
Carolina was born in Ballinger, Texas and resided in Joliet since 1966.
A celebration of Carolina’s life will begin on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 with prayers in the funeral home at 9:20 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Joliet. Visitation will be on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
