Age 89, at rest Tuesday, March 16, 2010. Survived by his loving children Caldean Chuway, Kathleen (Albert) Legan, Chuck Gergacz and Laurie (Tom) Marusak; dearest grandchildren Bobby and Mike Chuway, Kimberly (Cory) Nelson and Natalie Legan, CJ Gergacz, Katie and Mark Marusak, one great-grandson Cameron Chuway; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Betty; parents Michael and Elizabeth (Horvath); brothers Michael, Peter and John and one sister Irene Kochaver. Charles was born in Joliet; he resided in the Lockport and Joliet areas throughout his lifetime. He proudly served in the United States Navy as a Coxswain, Third Class. Charles served in the in the American and Asiatic-Pacific Theatres and received a Victory Medal and a Good Conduct Medal. Member of St. Joseph Seniors, ComEd/NIGAS Retirees and the Navy League.

Prayer services will begin at the funeral home Friday at 9:30a.m. and we will proceed to St. Mary Nativity Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation and Celebration of Charles Life will be Thursday from 2:00 ""A�?? 8:00p.m.
