Dakota James Adams

Dakota James Adams, 30 , passed away on  Friday, February 18, 2022.

He was a salesman for Turk Furniture for 10 years; he loved Martial Arts, training at Suda International Gym, holding a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, black belt in Taekwondo, among other professional and personal achievements. He loved being outdoors, hiking the mountains of Colorado, searching the deserts out west. He loved sports, especially the Hawks & Cubs. He was a free spirit who had an infectious smile and he was kind and generous to everyone he met. He had so much more to offer, to be taken so soon. He will be forever loved and missed.

Dakota is preceded in death by his mother, Dawn (Lakotich) Adams, maternal grandmother Gladys Lakotich, paternal grandmother Bev Rucker, uncle Jimmy Brown.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving father & stepmother David (Beth) Adams; sisters Amy (Scott) Jimerson, Brandi Upchurch, & Brittany Adams; stepbrothers Jeff (Virginia) Long, Sr., Cooper (Casandra) McReynolds; loving aunt & uncle Donna (Tom) Bourg; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews, many close friends and his best buddies Gizmo & Hobo.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Tezak Funeral Home.

Chapel services will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 11:00 am with cremation to follow in accordance.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the National Organization for Rare Disorders is appreciated.
