David E. Conner
October 5, 1927 — March 31, 2014
David E. Conner, Age 86, entered eternal life on Monday, March 31, 2014 with his loving wife by his side.
David is survived by his wife, Theresa (nee Starasinich); children, David (Denise), Chris (Michelle), Barbara (Scott); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, John and Gladys (nee Edwards); sisters, Grace Sebby, Marge Nerkins, and Merry Agnes Gura; and brother, Jack.
David served his country as a Marine on the USS Shangri La during WWII. He worked for many years at Coca-Cola and Plainfield High School. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed working in his flower garden.
The family wishes to express a heartfelt thanks to Arta for her dedicated care, VA, and Transitions Hospice.
A Celebration of David's life will begin on Friday, April 4, 2014 with a Visitation from 9:00 a.m. 10:30 a.m. at Tezak Funeral Home 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435 then driving in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery.
