David Maticic

David Maticic, age 51, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 1, 2017.

David is survived by his loving children, April and Alyson Maticic and Jacob Miller; life partner, Tracy Maticic; mother, Mary (the late John) Maticic; siblings, Mitzi (Frank) Dubrovich, Paul (Lori) Maticic, Olga Maticic, Peter (Cathy) Maticic, Cyril (Janeane) Maticic, Ida (Bob) Olson, Steven (Becky) Maticic and Jimmy Maticic; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his father, John Maticic; and step-father, Joe “Charlie” Ketz.

David was born and raised in Joliet. He was the owner of A-Daves Appliance Repair for 28 years. Dave was a member of the South Wilmington Sportsman’s Club and loved camping and fishing. He brought joy to everyone through his jokes and could fill a room with laughter. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace, that Speedo wearing, antique-collecting goofball.

A celebration of David’s life will begin on Friday, August 4, 2017 with a visitation at Tezak Funeral Home (1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet) from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 7:30 p.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation. Interment will be held privately at Plainfield Cemetery.
