David B. Zemeckis

Age 68 of Joliet, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Spring Creek Nursing Home in Joliet.

Born March 1, 1955, Dave was a son of Charles J. and Stella (Travis) Zemeckis. Dave was a true American patriot who loved his country. He enlisted at a young age and proudly served in the United States Army until having to retire due to a disability. In his free time, he enjoyed building model cars and spending time with his dogs: Sheba and Halo. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Dave is the proud uncle of: Frank (Mandy) Zemeckis and Chuck (Loren) Zemeckis.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Stella; wife: Sharon; twin sister: Dale and older brother: Charles.

A committal service with full military honors will be held on Monday, January 8, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W Hoff Road in Elwood, Illinois. Guests wishing to attend the service are encouraged to arrive at the cemetery welcome center by 10:15 a.m.
