Donna M. Davis

Donna M. Davis, age 85 of Joliet passed away peacefully in her home on September 30, 2024. She was born to Jacob Back and Hallie Back (nee Kyle) in Morton, Arkansas on January 22, 1939. 

Donna enjoyed sixty years of marriage with her soulmate, the late Velza Davis Sr. She raised a wonderful family in Joliet and worked as a school bus driver for Crawford Bus Service for thirty-three years. She was a devoted and loving grandmother and great grandmother.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her dear husband Velza Davis Sr., four of her sisters, and two brothers.

She is survived by her children Velza (Debbie) Davis Jr., Robert (Dianne) Davis, and Richard (Kaycee) Davis. She also enjoyed ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

A celebration of life visitation will be held on Friday October 4, 2024 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Tezak’s Home to Celebrate Life, 1211 Plainfield Rd. Joliet, IL 60435. Guests are invited to gather again at Tezak’s on the morning of Saturday October 5, 2024 at 10:00 am, with a Chapel Service to take place at 10:30 am. Immediately after the service, we will travel in procession to Donna’s final resting place at Elmhurst Cemetery for a brief Chapel Committal Service, 1212 E. Washington St. Joliet, IL. After which, she will rejoin her husband Velza, and the two will remain side by side for all of eternity.
