Dorothy L Penosky

Dorothy Penosky, age 92, of Joliet, passed away peacefully October 6, 2010 at Silver Cross Hospital. born August 18, 1918, she was a lifetime Joliet resident and member of St. Thaddeus Church and St. Bernard"s Church, Joliet. Survived by her loving family, niece Carol (Warren) Tomaska; great-niece Karen (Robert) Principali; great nephews, Rick Tomaska, Paul Swiersz and David (Maureen) Swiersz. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Catherine (Jasinski) Penosky; sisters Stella Swanson, Clara and Irene Penosky; brothers Walter and Tony Penosky; Max, Raymond and Martha Penosky, who died in childhood. Also preceded by her lifetime partner, Lester Rodeghero. Dorothy was dearly loved by her family and will be greatly missed. Family will greet relatives and friends, Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard"s church, Joliet with mass of Christian burial 11:00 a.m. According to Dorothy"s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded following church services. Private inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.
