Earl W Cowell
May 1, 1923 — November 25, 2010
Earl W. Colwell, age 87, late of Joliet, died on November 25, 2010 at Rosewood Care Center.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis (nee Cleary), and his children, Lawrence (Kimberly) Colwell, Gerald Colwell, and Julianne (Dennis) Blackburn, his 7 grandchildren, as well as numerous cousins.
He was preceded by his parents, Earl M. and Julia (nee Gleason) Colwell.
Earl was proud of being a licensed Amateur Radio Operator since he was 17 years old.
He served in WW ll in Alaska with the Army Air Corps.
At Earl"s request, cremation rites have been accorded. Family will meet relatives and friends on Friday, December 3, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery for inurnment with military honors. There will be no service at the funeral home.
