Edith Marie Alberico

Edith M. Alberico, age 96, died peacefully on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home under care of hospice. She is survived by her children Arlene (Richard) Packley, Geri McGinn, Richard (late Geri) Alberico, grandchildren Michael, Chris, and Jeffrey (Robin) McGinn, Kate (David) Luers, Rick Packley, Robyn (Brian) Okon, Tami (David) Georgeff, Kim (Tom) Higgins, Danette (Bobby) Stuckey, and Rich Alberico, great grandchildren Kiersten, GeriAnn, Ashley, Cori, Andrew, Carson, Katie, Amber, Cassidy, Christopher, and Kaitlyn McGinn, Riley and Erin Luers, Kara Anderson, Dana Packley, Sydnie and Brynn Okon, Jakob and Lukas Georgeff, Bryan Alley, Nicole (Joe) Sanchez and Morgan Alberico, and great-great grandchildren James McGinn, and Montana and Sierra Sanchez, her brothers Henry (Rose) Alberico and Eugene (Janet) Alberico, and many nieces and nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Chris (1987), her parents Peter and Constance (nee Bucciferro) Alberico, brothers Nunzie and Dan (late Louise), sisters Ange (late Sam) DeAngelis, Phyllis (late Raymond) Mutz, and a brother Ernest, in infancy.

Edith touched many hearts through her wisdom and friendship, leaving us with many treasured memories. She will forever be remembered for her Thursday morning ""coffees"". Her family would like to extend thanks to the staffs of Sunny Hill and Joliet Area Community Hospice for the loving care that they provided.

Those wishing to leave memorials in Edith"s name may make donations to Joliet Area Community Hospice, Friends of Sunny Hill, or St. Anne"s Church.

A Celebration of Edith"s Life will held on Friday, May 13 starting with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 AM, then in procession to St. Anne Catholic Church in Crest Hill for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville. Visitation will be Thursday from 3 ""A�?? 8 PM.
