Edward R. Kluge

Survived by his loving daughters, Barbara (Dean) Beavers from Cave in Rock, IL., Sue Ann (Roy) Ericksen from Mountain Home AR and Shirley (Ashley) Craig from Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Rhonda (John) Langley, Kim (Charles) Schmalzried, Marc (Laura) Craig; and six great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by his wife, Joan Kluge (nee Malinowski) on October 24, 2003; his parents, Peter and Martha (nee Kuzimkowski) Kluge; one brother, Paul Kluge; one sister, Irene (late Walter) Slaboszewski.

Born in Lemont, IL. Edward retired after 30 years of service from the U.S. Post Office (Lemont, IL) as a Postal Carrier. Past Commander of the American Legion Post 1080. Former Precinct Committeeman 54 Precinct. Former Joliet Township Senior Citizen Committee. Edward was also a 50 year member of the N.A.L.C. and union.

Services will be held at the funeral home beginning at 8:30 A.M. with a chapel service at 10:00 A.M. Father Ron P. Neitzke will be officiating. Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 20, 2007 beginning at 8:30 A.M. until the time of the service.
