Edwin A�??BingA�?i�� Bertrand, age 79, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012 surrounded by his loving family at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.
Survived by his loving wife of 55 years Margaret A�??GretaA�?i�� (nee Shannon) Bertrand; one daughter Lori (Chris) Adler; one son Ed (Lori) Bertrand; seven grandchildren Meghan (A.J.) Vivaldelli, C.J., Matthew, and Sarah Adler, Jenny, Kate and Anna Bertrand; one great-grandson Austin.
Preceded in death by his parents Loretta (nee Gleason) and Edwin Bertrand.
Edwin was a graduate of Joliet Catholic High School and retired from the EJ&E Railway after 35 years of service. He was a United States Army veteran. Edwin was a diehard Chicago Cubs fan, a devoted father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of EdwinA�??s life will begin on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. with a Chapel Service at the funeral home chapel. Visitation will be on Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Services at TezakA�??s Home to Celebrate Life. Family and friends are invited to meet at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL for interment on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.
