Ervin Lloyd Anderson, age 84, entered his heavenly home on Friday, January 7, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.
Ervin dedicated 45 years as a track inspector with EJ&E Railroad and had a great love for trains. He was a longtime member of the Joliet Moose. Ervin was active in his local church, Crystal Lawns Church of the Nazarene, and loved bible study. Some of his most valued pastimes were Thursday Game Day and “couch time” with his wife Marcey. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Ervin is survived by his loving wife Marcella Anderson (nee Dishon); son, Shawn (Tricia) Anderson; daughters, Cindy (Mark) Jones, Jacque Daniels, Jami (Kregg) Hart and Christi Anderson; children by marriage, Michelle (Jeff) Memenga and Mike (Cynthia) Kessel; granddaughters, Sierra Anderson, Megan Howard, Misti Duran, Kianna Anderson, Abby Costa, Amie Hall, Laci Bryant and Kori Hart; grandsons, Keegan Anderson, Adam Knoblich, Ryan Crawford, Scott Crawford, James Schroeder, Silas Schroeder, Sam Schroeder, Jeffrey Memenga, Matthew Memenga, Scott Jones and Mason Bryant; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Dale (Patsy) Anderson; and sister, Judy Anderson.
Preceded in death by is parents, Lloyd and Minnie (nee Nelson) Anderson; sister, Mary Lou Smolik; half-brother, Verl Honrud; and son, William Anderson.
A celebration of Ervin’s life will be held on Monday, January 10, 2022 with a visitation at Crystal Lawns Church of the Nazarene, 2424 Caton Farm Rd, Joliet, IL 60435 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service to be held at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Round Grove Township Campus Blacktop Cemetery near in Dwight, IL.
