Eugene Francis Kostyra Age 76, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 14, 2006. Survived by wife, Patricia (nee O'Connor) Kostyra; children, Michael (Marina) Kostyra, Cathleen (William) Maren and Christine Kostyra; grandchildren, William and Elizabeth Maren and David Kostyra; three sisters, Emily (Joseph Ballak, Genevieve (Robert) Susner and Victoria (Fred) Alberico; three nieces and; two nephews, also survive. Preceded in death by his parents, Stanislaus and Susanna (Ziobro) Kostyra; and two brothers, Casimer and Joseph Kostyra. Born in Joliet. U.S. Air Force Veteran. Retired from the U.S. Postal Service, where he was a letter carrier for 40 years. Well known and celebrated for his pitching of 12"" fast pitch softball.
