Frances “Fran” Brandolino
May 29, 1943 – Forever in Our Hearts
Frances “Fran” Brandolino, lovingly known to all who knew her as Fran, was born on May 29, 1943, in Joliet, Illinois, and was called home leaving behind a legacy of extraordinary love, unwavering faith, and a lifetime of generous service to others.
Raised on Vista Lane in Joliet, near the beloved St. Mary Nativity, Fran grew up in a home believed to be among the earliest known residences in the city. It was a humble and meaningful beginning for a woman whose life would become so deeply anchored in community, tradition, and devotion to others. She attended St. Francis Academy High School, before answering her calling to serve by enrolling in nursing school.
As a registered nurse, Fran dedicated herself wholeheartedly to the care of others, serving with skill, kindness, and grace at Silver Cross, St. Joseph, and Morris hospitals throughout her distinguished career. Her patients and colleagues alike were touched by her warmth and professionalism.
Fran was the devoted and cherished wife of Dan Brandolino for 49 beautiful years. Together they shared a life rich in love, laughter, and lasting friendship. She treasured her close-knit circle of friends in both Joliet and Arizona, where she enjoyed playing golf and embracing the warmth of genuine fellowship.
Her faith was her compass. Fran was an active and committed member of her church, participating faithfully in Bible studies and several ministries. She had a particular passion for sewing Memory Bears for grieving families, a tender and deeply personal gift she continued offering until her final days.
Fran is survived by her three beloved children, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one brother. She will be forever missed and eternally remembered by all whose lives she so lovingly touched.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Brandolino.
In lieu of flowers, donation in Fran’s name to Lightways Hospice would be appreciated.
A celebration of Fran’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, with a visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family invites relatives and friends to join them on Thursday, June 11, 2026, for a Funeral Service to be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, 40 Houbolt Rd, Joliet, IL 60431 at 11:00 a.m. Per Fran’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded following services on Thursday. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Dan, at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery privately at a later date.
