Frances "Busha" (Mandac) Krizmanic

Frances Krizmanic (nee Mandac), 87 years old of Channahon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 7, 2022.

She is survived by her children, Chris (Lisa) Underhill, Mark (Dawn) Underhill and Sharon (Craig) Shearer; grandchildren, Nicole (Jay) Allendorf, Drew (Julie) Underhill, Alexa Underhill, Kylie Underhill, Gillian Underhill, Madison Underhill, Todd (Kathia) Shearer and Curt (Joe) Shearer; great-grandchildren, Joshua Allendorf, Emma Underhill, Zoey Weber, Nya Bretz and Solveig Shearer; sisters, Marge Comp and Judy Kepp.

Preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Amelia (nee Stepcevich) Mandac; spouses, Donald Underhill and William Krizmanic; great-granddaughter, Kathleen Underhill; siblings, Anthony Kotlar, John Hercegovics, Michael Ercegovich, Ann Kaczmarek, Mary Lojeski, Frederick Mandac, William Mandac, Joseph Mandac and Edward Mandac.

Born on January 30, 1935, Fran retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co. in 1998 after 30 years of service. She was a loving mother, grandmother and “Busha” to many. Fran had a great sense of humor, loved to travel, was a wonderful cook and baker and enjoyed playing games. Most importantly, she loved being around her family, especially her grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Fran’s name to Lightways Hospice of Joliet or St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.

A celebration of Fran’s life will begin on Saturday, December 10, 2022 with a visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Elmhurst Cemetery in Joliet.
