Francis “Fritz” Luzbetak joined his beloved wife, Mary (nee Charnek), in heavenly rest while surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Joliet, Fritz was a lifelong resident of the community he loved. In 1950, he married the love of his life, Mary, beginning a devoted partnership that spanned decades of family, faith, and adventure. Together, they built a loving home and shared a passion for travel, visiting all seven continents following Fritz’s retirement.
Fritz is survived by his four children: Kenneth (Dawn) Luzbetak of Bremerton, WA; Dori (Fred Klink) Luzbetak of San Ramon, CA; Allan (Jeannette) Luzbetak of Lockport, IL; and Phillip Luzbetak of San Diego, CA. He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren and was also blessed with 13 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Fritz also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will cherish his memory.
Fritz enjoyed a long and distinguished 37-year career with Commonwealth Edison (ComEd), where he rose through the management ranks through dedication and hard work.
