Frank Yattoni Jr., age 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at his home with his family by his side.
Born March 26, 1931 in West Frankfort, IL, Frank was the son of Frank and Carolina (Ballotti). Frank was a strong union member and a United States Army Veteran who served during the Korean War.
Frank lived a Catholic life, had a passion for golf and supported his grandchildren in their sports, dance and passions in life. He relished spending time with his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Frank is survived by his four children, Alicia Revord, Frank (Joyce)Yattoni III, Laura (Andrew) Smith, and Anna (Tadd) Gibson; eleven grandchildren, Alexa (Gregg Hutt) Connor and Hunter (Claire) Revord, Stephanie Yattoni, (Jim Risoli), Mallory (Lee) Rittgarn, Frank IV (Danny)Yattoni, Olivia, Noah and Emma Smith, and Taylor (Nick Wallace) and Collin Gibson; five great grandchildren, Blayke, Quinn, and Laine Rittgarn and Griffin and Teddy Hutt; sister, Carolyn Russell; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Barbara (Mihelich); parents, Frank and Carolina (Ballotti), siblings Guy Yattoni, John Peter Yattoni, Tange Colvin, Mary Lou Cook.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank’s name to the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois would be appreciated.
The family invites relatives and friends to join them for a visitation on Monday, April 29, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet.
