Fred Ratio

Fred Ratio, age 67, of Crest Hill, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 26, 2013. Loving husband of 44 years to Rosemarie; proud father of Antoinette (Frank) Thompson, Gabrielle (Jose) Vital and Frederic (Julia) Ratio; adoring grandfather of Tatiana, Noe and Araceli Vital, Olivia Thompson and Joah Ratio; great-grandfather of beloved Jocelyn Vital; brother of Edna (Felix) Magat, Anna (Donald) Mikesh, and Bernabe M. Ratio; also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, Bernabe S. and Remedios Ratio; his brother Albert Ratio; nephew Donald Mikesh and sister-in-law, Ljudmila Ratio.

Fred was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving his country oversees in Kaiserslautern, Germany. He was formerly employed at Woock Insurance Company in Lockport, Montgomery Ward in Joliet, Radio Shack (LeaderA�??s Club) in Joliet and Lewis University in Romeoville.

A Celebration of FredA�??s life will begin on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 9:30 am with prayers at the funeral home chapel, then moving in procession to St. Ambrose Church, Crest Hill, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 29, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at TezakA�??s Home to Celebrate Life.
