Georgia Ann Suhadolc, R.N.

Age 73 of Elwood, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Silver Cross Hospital due to complications from the Covid virus.

Born October 20, 1949 in Joliet, Georgia was a daughter of George and Elvira (Hernandez) Meads. She was raised and educated in the Joliet area and attended St. Ambrose Grade School and then graduated from Lockport West High School with the class of 1967. Following graduation, she attended the nursing program through Joliet Junior College and dedicated her life to helping others as a registered nurse until retiring. On October 21, 1992 Georgia married her best friend Fred Suhadolc in Kankakee and together they lived life to the fullest. Georgia will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years: Fred; son: Duane Arend; daughter-in-law: Jeannine Arend; granddaughter: Mallory Arend; siblings: Monte Meads, William Meads, Donna (Bruce) Stimac, Anthony (Sue) Meads and Michael Meads, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents: George and Elvira Meads.

Per Georgia’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

A private interment will be held at a later date and Georgia will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
