Gentile-Bromberek, Geraldine L. (nee Sicinski) Age 64. Passed away peacefully on Monday August 22, 2011 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. Preceded in death by her former husband Samuel F. Gentile. Her parents; Anthony B. and Lottie M. (nee Gladkowski) Sicinski, a brother Wayne A. Sicinski, her paternal grandparents John and Lottie G. Scinski, her maternal grandparents Alex and Martha Gladkowski, and a nephew Bruce H. Hohman. Survivied by her husband of 3 years, Floyd J. Bromberek. 2 brothers; Charles (Gail) Sicinski, and John Sicinski, 2 sisters; Judith (Bruce) Hohman, and Toni Marie Sicinski. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Geraldine was born in Joliet and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Joliet East High School class of 1966. Retired from the Deaton-Kennedy Co. in 2006 after 23 years of service. She was a member of the Graphic Arts and Teamsters Union Local #458, a life member of the Lemont Ladies Auxiliary Post #5819, the American Legion Post #1080 Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Joliet Moose Lodge #300, and was also a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary Magdalene Church. Geraldine was an avid Bingo player, and loved to swim, bowl, bike ride, and dance. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Heart Association in her name would be appreciated. Funeral services for Geraldine L. Bromberek will be Saturday August 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Chris Groh officiating. Interment Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville. Visitation will be Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
