Glenn Joseph Perry, age 64, at rest on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.
Glenn is survived by his children, Marjorie (Lun), Dana (Richard) and Benjamin Perry; grandson, Quinn River Kutsie; siblings, Melody (the late Philip) Price, Chris (Lynda) Perry and Mitch (Elena) Perry; nieces, Amy Hardy and Jo-Anne Guccione; nephews, Tobias, Neil, and Carl Newnum, and David and Raymond Price, as well as numerous cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by his wife, Jeannie Guccione; brother, Steve Perry; sister, Lynn Rose Perry-Newnum; brother-in-law Larry Newnum; nephew Michael Guccione; and parents, Nicholas and Rose Perry.
Glenn served honorably as a 3rd Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy. After his return home he became a proud member of the Electricians Union Local #176 and retired after over 30 years of service. He loved his kids dearly and cherished his time with them greatly. He enjoyed playing chess,his guitar, harmonica and Banjo. Glenn was also an amateur astrologist who enjoyed star gazing through his telescope. He was also a avid fan of aquatic ships, Navy Pier’s Tall Ships Festival, and having a good time with his friends and family and his dear dog Memo.
A celebration of Glenn’s life will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 with a memorial visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Glenn will be laid to rest with his wife privately at Abraham Lincoln Nation Cemetery in Elwood. Cremation rites have been accorded.
