Gloria Bedolla Pantoja

Age 76 of Joliet, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 17, 2021 at her home with her loving family by her side.

Gloria is the loving wife of 53 years to J. Jesus A. Pantoja, cherished mother to six children and amazing grandmother to ten grandchildren. In her free time, Gloria enjoyed cooking, sewing, singing, dancing and taking care of others. She was a selfless woman who always made sure that if you were in her home that you were taken care of. Gloria will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband: J. Jesus A. Pantoja; children: Jesus, Maria de la Luz, Carmen and Xochitl; grandchildren: Christian J., Karina I., Nina R., Sebastian M., Josue Ulises, Andres, Lucas, Anahi E., Carmen A., and Ximena A.; siblings: Elena, Margarita, Esperanza, Carlos, Delia, Irma and Olivia, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents: Maria Diaz Bedolla and Carlos Bedolla, Sr.; sister: Laura Bedolla, and two daughters in infancy: Maria de Jesus and Maria de Los Angeles.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet. A celebration of Gloria’s life will continue on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 with a brief visitation from 8:30 a.m. until time of closing prayers beginning at 9:20 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. The funeral will then process to Holy Family Catholic Church in Shorewood for a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Per Gloria’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded following Mass.

Interment will be held at a later date.
