May 20, 1954 — October 24, 2015
Guy R. Morgan, age 61, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, October 24, 2015 surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Guy is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Diane (nee Devea); daughter, Laura (Mike Murphy) Morgan; father, James P. (the late Joyce) Morgan; siblings, Erlene (the late Jack) Saieg, Jim (Margaret) Morgan, twin Gary (Launa) Morgan; nieces and nephews, Davey (Lisa) Jolin, Jimi Chartrand, Keri (Mike) Davidson, Kristin (Todd) Shamberg, Shannon Morgan, Tanner (fiancée Sparkle) Morgan, Tony (Chrissy) Devea and Christopher (Allison) Devea; mother-in-law, Gloria (the late George) Devea; brothers-in-law, Dennis (Jan) Devea and Dan (Alice) Devea; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
Preceded in death by his mother, Joyce (nee Ponchaud); brother, Deanie Morgan; father-in-law, George Devea; and brother-in-law, Jack Saieg.
Guy was employed at Citgo Oil Refinery. He was an avid fisherman with a wonderful sense of humor. Guy was a loving husband, father, son, uncle and friend who fought a courageous battle and never gave up.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Guy’s name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
A celebration of Guy’s life will begin on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 with a memorial visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 2-8 p.m. There will be a service in the funeral home chapel during the visitation at 6:00 p.m. Cremation rites have been accorded.
