Helen was born in Joliet Il., November 10, 1919.
She attended St. Joseph Grade School, Joliet Il. After the death of her first husband, Rudolph Pobodnik,a Marine, during World War II, She married Frank Mitok a laborer at Joliet Steel and Wire. During the 1950’s they traveled Route 66 to make a new home in El Segundo, California.
After the passing of her husband in 1968, Helen remained in southern California, enjoying the sunny climate. She was a fan of “early” country music, like Les Paul and Mary Ford, and Gene Autry. She was a kind and loving sister and aunt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Agnes (Pechaver) Kozlevcar, her brothers Joseph (Helen), Frank (Rose), Ludwig, Anthony Kaye (Chris), and a sister Agnes(William) Swiderski.She is survived by two nephews, Carl Kozlevcar and William Swiderski, and two nieces, Karen Dillon and Marsha Kaye.
After cremation rites were accorded, her remains were committed to the sea off the coast of Los Angeles County.
