Jack W. Mayer, 75, at rest on Friday, July 6, 2007, at his late residence with his family by his side. Survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Susan S. Mayer, nee Suski; children, Mark (Gail), Mitch (Patty), Michelle (Benjamin) Rivera; grandchildren Luke, Nick, and Jackie; one brother Antone Murphy (Mildred); numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive; preceded in death, by his parents John J. and Jessie B, nee Wells; brother, Glen (Laverne) Murphy. Born in Lincoln, IL, and a Korean Veteran in the US Army. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Joliet Area Community Hospice www.joliethospice.org in Jack's name would be appreciated. Chapel Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at 10 a.m. Inurnment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday, from 2 to 9 p.m.
