James D. Pruett

Passed away peacefully on Sunday March 17, 2013 with his loving family by his side after a courageous battle against brain cancer.

Loving husband and soul mate to Michelle (Pirc) Pruett; Cherished father of four, James and Rachael Pruett of Austin TX, Shannon and Kyle Waznis of Joliet; Dearest son-in-law of Thomas (Nancy) Fitzgerald; Brother to Susan and Dwight Pruett; Brother-in-law to Mark (Dawn) Pirc, Matthew Fitzgerald, and Michael Pirc; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Preceded in death by his parents James Sr. and Alice (nee Phillips) Pruett; Brother Michael Pruett; and brother-in-law Matthew Pirc.

James was born September 20, 1958 in Columbus, Ohio. Raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. He was a beloved husband, father and man of great character and strength. He has received numerous awards and certificates throughout the years. Having a career spanning 23 years in nuclear power stations across the country. Followed by an 11 year career as a senior project manager with MJ Electric. James will be greatly missed by all who knew him including his beloved pets, Jake and Sammy.

A Celebration of JamesA�?? life will begin Saturday March 23, 2013 at 9:30 am with prayers at the funeral home chapel then moving in procession to St. Jude Catholic Church in Joliet for a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10:00 am. A committal service will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Friday, March 22, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home.
