Janice H. Taylor (nee Enich)

Janice H. Taylor (nee Enich), a dedicated educator and advocate for education, passed away on November 2, 2023. Born on July 16, 1953, she leaves behind a legacy of compassion and excellence in the field of education.

Janice had an illustrious career in the Joliet Public School system, where she served as a teacher, administrator, and principal. She was known for her unwavering commitment to providing quality education to her students. With a multitude of educational specialties, Janice made a lasting impact on countless young lives throughout her tenure.

To further advance her expertise in the field of education, Janice pursued higher education herself. She obtained a Doctorate of Education from the College of St. Francis, which further solidified her abilities as an educator and leader.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Janice had a compassionate heart and always extended her care to others. She was an animal lover and found tremendous joy in the company of her beloved Shelties, Audrey and Mindy. Additionally, she dedicated herself to caring for numerous family members, embodying selflessness and kindness throughout her life.

Janice will forever be remembered for her love for children and her dedication to creating a nurturing home environment. Her impact on those she cared for and taught will continue to resonate long after her passing.

Janice was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Violet Enich, as well as her brother George Enich.

She is survived by her husband William C. Taylor III; sister Nadine E. (Michael) Keer; sister-in-law Maggie (the late George) Enich; nieces Kimberly (August Brill) Keer and Elizabeth Enich; nephews Jason Keer and Michael Enich; great-niece Mila Brill; great-nephew Jed Brill; father-in-law William C. Taylor Jr. as well as numerous cousins.

Her contributions to the field of education and her unwavering dedication to her loved ones will forever be cherished. Janice's selfless and caring nature will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace, leaving a profound mark on all whose lives she touched.
