Joel Jaskowiak

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joel Jaskowiak, who departed this world on Sunday, December 17, 2023, in Joliet, IL, at the age of 53.

Joel, a dedicated surveyor for over 23 years, had a passion for playing musical instruments and bringing joy to those around him with his melodic talents. His love for fishing was evident in the moments he cherished by the water, finding solace in the tranquility it offered. A loving soul with the friendliest smile, Joel will be remembered for the warmth he brought to every interaction.

 He is preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Jaskowiak, as well as his paternal grandparents, Andrew and Katherine Jaskowiak, and maternal grandparents, Edward and Frances Weeditz.

Left to cherish his memory is his devoted mother, Mary Jean Jaskowiak, and his brother, Steve (Marian) Jaskowiak. Joel's companion of 18 years, Crystal Smith, and her daughter Jayde O’ Halloran.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 4;00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd. Joliet,IL

Mass of Christan burial will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 901 Elizabeth St, Joliet with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery on Theodore St in Joliet,IL.
