John R. "Jack" Bazzoni

John R. “Jack” Bazzoni, age 87, of Joliet, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

Jack was born and raised in Joliet, where he attended St. Joseph Grade School, graduating with the Class of 1952, and later Joliet Township High School, Class of 1956. He continued his education at Northwestern University, earning his bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Jack dedicated his professional career to Argonne National Laboratory, where he worked as an accountant until his retirement. He was known for his diligence, integrity, and commitment to his work.

For the past 21 years, Jack made his home at The Timbers, where he was cherished by staff and residents alike. He will be remembered for his kindness, thoughtfulness, and gentle spirit.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mario and Teresa (nee Filak) Bazzoni; his twin sister, Mary Ann (Frank) Ragusa; his brother, Dennis Bazzoni; and his son Michael Bazzoni.

Jack is survived by his  daughter in law Lisa (+Michael) Bazzoni , his loving grandson, Matthew Bazzoni, and his cousin, Donna Saelinger, along with extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, Illinois. Funeral services will follow, with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, 1500 N. Raynor Avenue, Joliet, Illinois.
