John W. Emery, age 86, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, March 22, 2014.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Catherine (nee Anzelc) Emery; his loving children, son Robert J (Lynne) Emery and Daughter Diane M Emery; grandchildren, J Ryan and Tyler Anne M Emery.
Preceded in death by his parents, Eva and Ray Emery; one brother, Private James Robert "Bob" Emery; one sister, Coral Ann Cowan; and his aunt, Mildred England.
John was a proud IBM'er for 37 years and retired in 1991.
Memorial donations to the American Heart Association or to a charity of choice may be made in his name.
Per John's wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will be private.
